I am a 31-year-old from Rio de Janeiro. My father has always been aware of the importance of learning foreign languages, and so I remember learning them from a very young age. For example, if a student prefers simple conversation because it is more useful to them for personal reasons, I certainly don't insist on them doing exercises on the past perfect or future anterior!
